In 2010, I plan to write down every book I read. I read a lot. I read a lot for school, and when I can focus, I read a lot for myself, too. I want to keep track of everything I read, if I liked it, whether I finish it, etc. Check back for frequent updates.

Books:
Catcher in the Rye
J.D. Salinger
Finished: Sometime around the first or second of the year
Comments: I really liked the book. I thought it was sort of strange, but I really did enjoy it. Not much else to say but that, I suppose. Oh, since I finished it, I do see a lot of things in media — movies, especially — that seems to point to the author or director being influenced by this book.
Hatchet
Gary Paulsen
Finished: Sometime around the first or second of the year
Comments: I love love loved this book. I’ve always liked books about kids who are on their own, and this was definitely that. I only wish it had gone on longer, or gone into more detail about the days. But there is a sequel or follow up, so, that’s on my list to read. I like Gary Paulsen in general though.
Captain Blood
Rafael Sabatini
Finished: In Progress
Comments: Re-read… liking it so far…
Twilight
Stephenie Meyer
Finished: About a day after I started it — the day after Eclipse came out in theaters.
Comments: I didn’t love it. It was pretty good, but what I’d seen the movie so I knew the basics of the story. It was light years away from the movie, and I liked that aspect, but this book’s biggest accomplishment was getting me reading the next three in the series.
New Moon
Stephenie Meyer
Finished: About two days after finishing Twilight
Comments: I loved it. and I hated it. But I kept reading…
Eclipse
Stephenie Meyer
Finished: Soon after New Moon.
Comments: I really liked it. Ok, ok I admit it, I got hooked.
Breaking Dawn
Stephenie Meyer
Finished: Right before I got my wisdom tooth pulled
Comments: I think this was my favorite of the series.
